Capsele Inc. ("we," "our," or "us"), a Delaware corporation, operates the Capsele mobile application and website at www.capsele.world. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app or website.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the basic profile information those services provide (name, email).

Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the app, including which books you listen to, language preferences, and playback history. This data is used to improve your experience and remember your progress.

Library Data

Your library selections, downloaded books, and reading preferences are stored to sync across sessions.

Payment and Subscription Information

If you purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store, Apple processes and stores your payment information. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not have access to your payment details.

If you purchase a subscription through our website (www.capsele.world), payment is processed by Wix Payments or other third-party payment processors. We receive your name, email, and subscription status. We do not store credit card numbers or full payment details on our servers.

Enterprise and Institutional Access

Capsele may be provided to you through a school, educational institution, or other organization ("Institution") under an enterprise agreement. In this case, your Institution may share your name and email address with us to create your account. We process this data solely to provide the Capsele service and in accordance with our agreement with the Institution. We do not use data received from Institutions for marketing purposes. If you access Capsele through an Institution, please also refer to your Institution's own privacy policy.

How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services, including:

- Firebase Authentication – for managing your account

- Cloud Firestore – for storing your library, preferences, and subscription status

- Firebase Storage – for delivering book content (images and audio)

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States and is protected by industry-standard security measures.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

- Provide and maintain the Capsele app and website

- Sync your library and preferences across sessions

- Process and manage your subscription (whether purchased via Apple or our website)

- Send transactional emails related to your subscription (confirmation, renewal, cancellation)

- Improve the app experience

We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in. We may send you emails related to your account, subscription, and important product updates (such as new features, new books, or service changes). You can unsubscribe from product update emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in each email.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

- Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage)

- Apple StoreKit (in-app subscription payments)

- Wix (website hosting and direct subscription payments)

- Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple (optional authentication)

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above as necessary to operate the app and process payments.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (available in the app under Settings), we delete your Firestore data and Firebase Authentication record. If you have an active subscription purchased through our website, please cancel it before deleting your account.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

- Access your data through the app

- Delete your account and all associated data via the app (Settings > Delete Account)

- Cancel your subscription at any time (via Apple ID settings for App Store purchases, or via your account on our website for direct purchases)

- Request data export by contacting us

Children's Privacy

Capsele is designed as a family-friendly language learning app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU) without parental consent. The app is intended to be used by children under parental supervision. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without consent, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
